Whether you are new to edtech, learning, or a veteran edtech educator, the conference has something for everyone. Attendees will hear expert guidance on how to incorporate technology in different learning models, see demos of new tech products, and practical strategies they can use in their classrooms and district.

2022 represents the 12th conference presented by the district's Digital Learning Department in collaboration with Technology Services. Each year, organizers like Joshua Hicks, coordinator of Esports and events, devise a concept that is not only educational but entertaining, thereby reminding everyone, no matter where you are in your edtech journey, to have fun.

"When we think of journeys, we think of our favorite science fiction," said Hicks. "This year, our theme surrounds our love for science fiction. Tech Trek events include a Star Wars versus Star Trek cosplay contest. Sessions will be about looking to our future and celebrating ‘going where no one has gone before in galaxies far, far away. Now, more than ever, we are facing educational challenges and must remember that we should enjoy the journey as much as arriving at the destination."

Keynote speaker Dr. Tommie Mabry, motivational speaker and author of the bestselling book Persuasion: The Secret to Student Motivation and Success, will kick off the conference by sharing his journey with attendees.

Following the keynote, attendees can enjoy the chance to break out of the Airship Mobile Escape Room, visit the Adobe Creative Experience with the Adobe Creative Team, and sign their three best friends up to compete on the Aldine Esports Gaming Stage.
